We've all been there. The culprit? A lack of structure in your day. The antidote? Building habits and routines.

Today, I want to share the daily habits that have become my life's guiding stars, providing structure, and significantly enhancing its overall quality over time.


Daily Movement

When my life felt like it needed a serious reboot, I started with something straightforward—daily workouts. I was clueless, but I committed to consistency by following workout programs. What I learned? Doing just one positive thing each day sets off a chain reaction, with results multiplying manifold.


Reading

Books have been my mentors, shaping what I know and understand. During the lockdown, I delved into the world of finance. Two years later, armed with knowledge, I confidently started investing. Personal development and self-help books have been my steady companions, guiding me through the intricacies of life.


Sitting in Silence: Finding Solace in Stillness

Amidst the chaos, a few minutes of silence by the window became my favourite habit during lockdown. Maintaining this on-and-off habit over the years grounds me in the present, allowing me to savour life's ordinary yet profound moments.


Gratitude Journaling

To transform ourselves, acceptance is paramount. Gratitude journaling became my compass for self-acceptance, redirecting my focus to the things, opportunities, and blessings already present in my life.


Habit Tracking

Utilising a physical habit tracker became my secret sauce for consistency. Celebrating small victories at the end of each day adds a touch of joy. It's okay not to check all the boxes sometimes—we're not machines. The habit tracker serves as a constant reminder to return to our established habits.


Creating Todo List: A Daily Roadmap

My todo list is the roadmap for my day, covering long-term, yearly, monthly, and daily goals. Marking 2-3 priorities each day sharpens my focus, directing my energy toward completing what truly matters.


Cleaning and Aromatising My Space: Decluttering for Mental Clarity

Making my bed and keeping my room tidy might seem simple, but the impact on my mentality is huge. A clean room clears my mind. To enhance my surroundings, I recommend using aromas or fragrances—they truly make a house feel like home.


Morning Cold Showers: A Refreshing Wake-Up Call

Beyond the health benefits, a morning cold shower brings me instantly to the present moment. It's a reminder, as Tony Robbins suggests, conditioning your brain and your body to accept, endure and embrace cold water immersion may be challenging, but the cold shower benefits to your health are well worth it.


Meditation: The Ultimate Life-Changer

Meditation takes the crown as my most transformative habit. Its benefits are beyond measure. If you're struggling with other habits, give meditation a shot for a while, and you'll notice its positive impact.
