Paradox of life
What holds true value in life? What do we genuinely prioritise? Often, our attention fixates on replaceable possessions: a luxurious car, a grand house, fashionable attire, a prestigious job, and the list continues endlessly. However, these items come at a price—a price we find challenging to pay. For instance, aspiring for a rewarding career necessitates acquiring knowledge, obtaining degrees, and enduring years of arduous struggle. This embodies the essence of life's duality: pleasure emerges alongside pain, love intertwined with hate, and happiness alongside sadness. By embracing this fundamental concept, life becomes more comprehensible.
Interestingly, there exist intangible facets in life that are freely given to us, yet we fail to truly appreciate them. Our mind, body, soul, hope, relationships, and intelligence fall under this category. Unfortunately, we often undervalue these remarkable gifts in comparison to the things we actively pay for. Remarkably, these aspects are devoid of the inherent dualities present in the external world. It is within the realm of our thoughts that much of our suffering originates. However, through proper training and directing of our minds, comprehending the multifaceted nature of existence becomes possible.
